For one week, the entire CSUSA network voted on their favorite monthly Bright Spot winner, choosing from 6 innovative teachers who truly thought outside of the box for the benefit of their students. The network made its voice heard when Sophia McMorris won by an astounding margin! Ms. McMorris was the inaugural monthly Bright Spot winner in October for her submission revolving around inquiry-based, student-centered learning and community service. As the Bright Spot of the Year, Ms. McMorris receives an once in a lifetime opportunity for herself and a CSUSA colleague….attending the ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education) 2018 conference in Chicago, Illinois! In addition to attending ISTE next month, Ms. McMorris also receives a SMART kapp board for her classroom, an iPad, and Apple professional development for herself and all of her colleagues at Winthrop Charter School!
